And We Left His Balls, With the Family Vet !!!
Zorro is a very unhappy Eunuch tonight.
Today was "C" day. (Castration Day)
You can see the little shaved patch on his arm where he had the anesthetic.
Poor little Fella
The title of this post comes from the John Williamson song "Bill the Cat" (Lyrics below)
We had a cat
His name was Bill
He caught our budgie on the window sill
One holy day, one sunday morn
Left only feathers on our back lawn
Oh no Bill, you can't do that
You silly pussy, you stupid cat
So we took him down, our family pet
And we left his balls with the family vet
meeoooww meeeoooww
Well the very next day he packed his bags
Left all his penthouse and playboy mags
How could we do it to the family pet
Go and leave his balls with the family vet
Well we get no postcards, no telephone calls
He's out in the bush somewhere, and with no balls
And he's obsessed with sweet revenge
So he eats our parrots and our fairy wrens
(Chorus)
Yes he's mortified and we all regret that we Left his balls with the family vet
X2
Now he's highly sought by the feral choir
For his new found talent to sing much higher
Has no more time for female friends
Only parrots and fairy wrens
No sense of humour, ex-family pet
He's still angry, he's still upset
It still hurts, he can't forget
That we left his balls with the family vet
Chorus X2

Breaking Baby News #2
I rang Big Nana at lunch time to see if there was any progress reports to be had.
AB was sent home from hospital this morning as she still had some waiting to go and RDJ's head hadn't engaged yet. All the birthing suites (7) were full and going home would be more comfortable for her than being stuck in the ward.
She was told to do some walking and come back in a few hours.

Rubber Band Migration
Some of the people I work with have an excellent sense of humour.
I got to work this morning an pissed myself laughing any again every couple of minutes as kept finding more bands everywhere I looked.
It must have all started with the post on my iPhone pix blog of a rubber band and the offhand comment I made about there being slot of bands flying about lately.
I laughed so much this morning, I cried.
The photo here shows the amount of rubber bands I found around my desk, monitor and calendar.
Not to mention the fan you can't see in this pic.
ROFLMAO
Breaking Baby News
Well. It's all very exciting now, with the news this morning that AB is finally in labour, after being 8 days overdue.
We are waiting with baited breath on the inevitable news that RDJ will be with us all very soon.

A Day in My Life
6 am
It,s 0600hrs (6am) and I am waiting at the bus stop ready to board when the bus arrives.
It was a B E A utiful morning.
6:30 am
It’s 0630hrs (6:30am) and I am getting on the train ready to be taken on the thrilling 55 minute journey to work. This is the 13th year of making this much enjoyable trip.
I shouldn’t be complaining it helps to unwind on the train after work.
7am
It’s now 0700hrs (7am) and I am blogging and Flickring on the way to work.
Normally I would be doing this on my iPhone but yesterday we got this neat little toy (Dell Inspiron Mini 9).
It is so cool.

7:15 am
At 0715hrs (7:15am) I get off the train and head up the escalators into the concourse maelstrom before heading over to the turnstiles to scan my GO card to get out of the station.
7:30 am
After the walk up to work from the station, I get into the lift to take me to the 18th floor.

At 0830hrs, I was checking the results of the Business Process Modelling that has been done by the staff from ESRI.

10:30 am - 12:30 pm
At 1030hrs every Wednesday we head into our Senior Officer’s Meeting where we discuss all things Spatial.
1 pm
After the meeting, I headed out into Reddacliff Place to check out the Farmers Markets.
How busy it was wandering around, looking at the stalls.
I don’t think Farmers market is the correct terminology for this market
1:10 pm
After strolling through the market, I headed down to the Myer Centre to get some lunch.
On the way, one of the local gyms was having a display of some of their classes. This one was a mini tramp class, the one prior was an aerobic medicine ball class.

Heading back into work after lunch.

Our Trip to Wet and Wild
Today went on a trip to Wet and Wild. We are trying to really get our money's worth of the Q150 tickets we bought. The girls really loved it, they reckon it is sooooo much better than Sea World.
A bit of a hickup this morning though, as we were in a rush to get out the door, we left the backpack on the table. In the backpack was all our water supplies and the camera.
Damn, this was a problem, as I didn't take my iPhone either. I didn't want to have it either stolen or wet. So no photos from today.
We had a really great day.

[caption id="attachment_842" align="alignright" width="200" caption="Irish Rovers in Australia"]

Now this isn't going to be as exciting to everyone else as it is to me.
I have been looking for this album for many a year in digital form. I have it as an LP (for those of you under 20's reading this an LP is a big round (30cm) licorice pizza looking piece of plastic that used to hold about 15 to 20 songs) but never could find it digitally.
Well as you can tell my search is finally over.
I am a very happy person.

Me at the Heart Information Session
Yesterday I went to the Cardiac Rehabilitation Information day held at the Ipswich Queensland Health Plaza.
First up I had a session with the Dietitian. I fired all the questions I had at her and it was a very informative session.
Next it was into the theatre for a series of talks from Nurses (what has happened to you), Occupational Therapists (how to get back in the saddle again), Diabetes, Psychologist (dealing with what has happened). We then had lunch.
After lunch we went back for some more sessions about Exercise (importance and how to) and Medication (what to expect, side effects, why, how long, etc...).
It was very informative and enjoyable. I take my hat off to Queensland health for funding this program. The nurses and physiologists are excellent and a wealth of knowledge to people who are at a major turning point in their lives.

Gone Walkin'
I'm walkin', down the street
And I'm talkin, bout you and me ......
MA & KP came to our place yesterday arvo to go walking for some exercise. We headed off along the new bikeway from Brassall to North Ipswich. It's is an excellent (though very long for those of us just get back into fitness) walk, and very well lit on the way back in the darkness.
Going to do it again on Friday if NP's legs have stopped hurting.
In the photo here you can see MA striding out in front with CB. A seasoned walker is she.

Starting Our New School Today
Today, saw the girls start at St Mary's Primary School.
We had been sweating on whether it was the right thing to do or not, seeing as we had already moved schools with JP in year 2. But after meeting the teachers and seeing how motivatedthey were about the kids learning and how friendly everyone is our fears have now dissapated.
Westarted the morning by visiting the uniform shop to get them new uniforms. Then we accompanied them to their classes to meet their teachers.
A very positive experience all up. A few tears from Mum but all is well. I expected some clinginess from CB but didn't happen.
We werevvery impressed by the year 1 teacher ( Mrs J ). She had everything happening in the classroom that the previous schol didn't. Visual aids of letters and numbers on the desks. Interesting things ok the walls.
Our first impressions are very good.

Pool Fun at Nanna's
JP and CB love swimming. Today we went to visit Nanny and Poppy..
JP would spend all day in the pool if she could and CB is getting very confident in the water. She is getting used to having her head under the water and is so keen to swim.
Aunty A and the boys were at Nan's as well. But Aunty A couldn't do much today as she was sore from her first night at trampolining on Thursday night.

Our Trip to Seaworld
We surprised the girls Sunday morning with Q150 tickets to Sea World, Movie World and Wet & Wild. The Q150 tickets allow us unlimited entry to the three parks for the next 4 months (til June 30).
We got there late due to a triathlon on the Gold Coast and we got caught in the bottle necked traffic.
We started off the day at the Bermuda Triangle Ride which scared the SH*T out of the girls. CB didn't like the Aliens, and JP thought we were going to get flooded.
We went to the Planet SOS in 4D show. It was funny watching the Adults trying to grab the Holograms.
We then spit up and NP took Cb to the Sesame Street Show while I took JP over to the Jet Rescue Ride.
Then the girls played in the water at Sesame Street Beach for a little while before we went and watched the water ski show.
We had a great day all in all.

Our Arvo Trip to Queens Park
I picked the girls up from After School Care at 4 o'clock on Friday and took them to Queens Park for a play before picking Mum up from work at 5pm.
We had apple and Bikkies for afternoon tea in the shade near the swings.
It was a beautiful afternoon in Ipswich, a touch warm though.
